Finding the room:
To reach the Junior Parlour, turn east into Whewell's Court (pronounced "hew-el's") from Trinity Street (down on the above plan). Turn right immediately after the first arch. Climb the open-air stairs until you are just short of the top, and then turn right into T staircase. The Junior Parlour is at the end of the passageway through the door. Wheelchair users should contact the tournament contact person for further advice.

GETTING TO CAMBRIDGE:

By Car:
You are strongly advised to use Park and Ride facilities as city centre parking is limited and likely to be expensive. The Park & Ride sites offering bus connections closest to venue are:
Madingley Road (best for M11 - J13 no southbound access). Alight Bridge Street just after bus gate.
Newmarket Road (A14 West) Alight Bridge Street just after bus gate.
St Ives (A1(M)) - Busway Route B.
Longstanton - Busway Route B.
Milton Keynes (M1 J14) - X5. Alight Magdalene Street (or Madingley Road P&R for connections).
Tickets for P&R served by Busway routes need to be bought from machines BEFORE boarding.

The nearest car park to the venue is Park Street which offers Blue Badge and Streetcar spaces.

By Rail:
The nearest station to the venue is Cambridge (CBG) which is served by.
First Capital Connect stopping and Cambridge Express services from London King's Cross (via Stevenage) and King's Lynn.
National Express East Anglia services from King's Lynn, London Liverpool Street (via Bishops Stortford), Ipswich, Peterborough. Trains from Norwich are replaced by buses between Ely and Attleborough.
CrossCountryservices from Peterborough (connections East Coast and East Midlands Trains services), Birmingham New Street (connections Virgin Trains, other CrossCountry and London Midland City services) and Stansted Airport.
megatrain.com fares from GBP 1.00 may be available on selected trains from Sheffield and Nottingham to Peterborough. Using this and rebooking from Peterborough could prove to be cheaper.
A high frequency bus service runs between the railway station and the city centre - PLUSBUS tickets are available.

Rail travel to Bicester North (BCS), Milton Keynes Central (MKC), Bedford (BDM) or St Neots (SNO) rail stations then using the connecting X5 coach or Huntingdon (connections via Busway B) may be a better alternative than rail to Cambridge. An X5 timetable can be found here. and Busway here. St Neots is also served by limited citi 4 service - TIMETABLE

By Coach (National Express):
National Express (NX) coach services operate to and from London Victoria Coach Station, Luton, Stansted, Heathrow and Gatwick Airports. Infrequent direct NX services are also available to Birmingham, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Nottingham and Sheffield. funfare tickets from GBP 1.00 are available on-line from NX website. All coaches call at Parkside and some also call at Madingley Road (interchange with P&R for shorter walk) or Trumpington Park and Ride sites.

By Coach (Stagecoach Cross County X5): This service is to and from Oxford and calls at Milton Keynes Coachway (interchange with NX services to North of England, Wales and Scotland) A timetable can be found here. Through ticketing is available from National Express agents. megabus.com fares are available on X5 route, but from Oxford only. All coaches call at Parkside. The X5 additionally calls at Magdalene Street, its closest stop to the venue, at 1/2 mile to the northwest. For a shorter walk the X5 calls at Madingley Road Park and Ride (this is a request stop on X5 services to Cambridge) for transfer to P&R bus services. The English National Concession pass is valid for free off-peak travel on both the X5 and P&R services.

By Air:
The nearest major airports are London Stansted (STN) and London Luton (LTN). Budget airlines Ryanair and easyJet use both airports.

By local bus:
Details of service buses in the Cambridge area can be found here. The main local buses passing closest to the venue are:
citi1 - Fulbourn/Cherry Hinton - Arbury via Addenbrooke's and rail station. Alight Bridge Street near bus gate.
citi2 - Addenbrooke's - Science Park. Alight Bridge Street near bus gate.
77 - Madingley Road-Newmarket Road P&R. Alight Bridge Street near bus gate.
Busway B - Huntingdon Rail Station - St Ives - Cambridge. Alight Round Church Street.

Other buses tend to use Drummer Street Bus Station, St Andrew's Street, Emmanuel Street and Downing Street.

ACCOMMODATION:
If you want to stay overnight in Cambridge, we recommend searching and booking via Visit Cambridge or Late Rooms
Alternatively - players have previously stayed at:
Citiroomz (adjacent to train station)
Warkworth House (close to Parkside coach terminal)
Travelodge Cambridge Central (close to train station) and Orchard Park
Cambridge University colleges offer overnight B&B accommodation
A number of B&B options in Tenison Road (first right off station approach) including a Hostelling International/YHA youth hostel. A number of options are also available in Kings Cross, London which may be convenient as a stopover for journeys via London.
